Tell Me Again About the Night I was Born (Picture Book)

I read Tell Again About the Night I Was Born written by Jamie Lee Curtis and illustrated by Laura Cornell.  This book was published by Harper Collins Publications.  This book is the story about a mother retelling her daughter about the night she was born.  This is a story about adoption.  This isn't a book just for children who are adopted, but for all children who love hearing about the night they were born from their parents.
I think the illustrations in this book are very colorful.  The pictures cover the pages from top to bottom and some pages are even read sideways.  The characters illustrated show a lot of emotions.  This story is adorable and the printed words are portrayed as to possibly have been hand written.
I think a great classroom activity a teacher could do with their classroom would be to discuss family and even the idea of adoption and that family doesn't necessarily mean you're related by blood.  This book is great because it's even appropriate for children who are adopted (like myself).
