I read Monster Poems for Monstrous Kids written by Melinda Kinsman. This is the forth book our of many about the monsters. In this book of rhymes, Billy's stuffed toys that sit on the top of his wardrobe at being silly monsters again. This book is great for younger children that are afraid of monsters. In this book, Billy shows readers that turning on the light is a great way to get monsters to run away because they are more afraid of you than you are of them. This book turns fears into laughter.
I could see myself using this poem in a classroom with rather young children who are afraid of monsters. I could read them this book to calm their fears.
